While it also has about 1 acre of secure open space at the front and side, there is also a secure pets' yard at rear of the main cottage (dog proof wire on Eastern boundary so dogs can enjoy the view if you go out and leave them in the yard).

Lazy days
We also have a hammock available to guests in the main cottage, which can be clipped between a stand of gum trees, for a lovely snooze on a mild day.

Regular visitors
some of our daily diners, especially since the 2019-20 bushfires took out a lot of their native habitat in the hills behind us, these Rainbow Lorikeets, together with King Parrots, Galahs, Rosellas and other native birds can be viewed from the verandahs of both units.

Tianjara Falls
only 30 seconds' walk from the car park, off the Braidwood Road above Wandandian
Granite Falls
just south of Wandandian, pleasant and easy bush track, 10 mins walk from car park along wide track, and ending with metal staircase down to observation deck.... Access from the highway is via a rough dirt road, best suited to 4WD or AWD vehicles. Also up this (Twelve Mile) road is George Boyd Lookout, which includes a lovely half hour rainforest walk around the base of the lookout.

along the trail up to George Boyd Lookout
just a five minute, beautiful and fairly easy climb for a wonderful view, or you can drive beyond here to access the lookout more easily.

Booderee National Park (Jervis Bay), spectacular area of pristine, sparkling beaches, with over 5000 breeding pairs of fairy penguins on nearby (protected) Bowen Island
